Role Summary
The Global Awards and Product Associate Director is an integral part of the Publicis Media Communications team. The primary responsibility of this role is to drive the success of our five (5) agency brands by identifying and promoting outstanding work, differentiating our brands from the competition. This individual will support PM’s five (5) brands with development of internal standards and reviews used to identify, share and merchandise top work for external festivals and global growth. In addition, individual will advise and support on social and owned-media content initiatives connected to Publicis Media’s presence at key industry events.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Integral talent within a five-person Brand Experience team embedded within Publicis Media’s Corporate Communications practice that brings to life Publicis Media and its brands through unique experiences and experiential storytelling
  • Cultivate relationships with Tier 1 industry award festivals as well as product leaders within each Publicis Media agency
  • Liaise with major global festivals (Tier 1) to secure jury positions, deadline extensions and other communication needs
  • Work with PM agency brands to identify best practices and campaigns to share within PM network
  • Consult with PM agency brands on internal work review mechanisms
  • Identify potential cases for major global awards festivals like Cannes, Festival of Media and Effies
  • Manage production of entry materials including videos, presentation boards and written submissions, with both internal and external resources for major global awards festivals
  • Consistent tracking of all industry festival deadlines
  • Manage internal case study portal across all agencies and markets
  • Provide competitive analysis and breakdown of industry performance following major Tier 1 festivals
  • Provide perspective and inspiration on competitive landscape by observing trends and standout submissions for internal learning and training opportunities
  • Support Business Development team with case study suggestions from PM global networks for client meetings and new business pitches
  • Provide advisement, content direction and support for tentpole events including CES, Cannes, Mobile World Congress including but not limited to social and owned-media strategy and recaps
  • Content strategy and advisement for global intranet
Required Experience
  • 6+ years experience working in a media, advertising, marketing or editorial environment
  • Must have excellent written and communication skills
  • Possess the ability to digest a large amount of information and build a narrative that tells a succinct story
  • Excellent project management skills; ability to manage many projects at once across various time zones, teams and budgets
  • Experience partnering with video production teams, providing creative direction and scripting
  • Ability to manage large production budgets for top tier festival entries
  • Proficiency in video editing tools a plus
  • Journalism, PR or Marketing background preferred
  • This role reports into the VP, Communications – Partnerships within the global Publicis Media Brand Marketing and Communications team
