What You’ll Do:

Publishing expert needed for multichannel publishing planning and investment team in New York office.  Responsibilities include contribution to corporate deal discussions, developing negotiation strategy as well as print plans with an understanding of the strategic needs of assigned clients. Publishing Supervisor expected to provide updates on the marketplace and understanding its impact on our clients.  In addition to handling publishing responsibilities, the supervisor will support the publishing Center of Excellence and PMX initiatives that include contributing to agency deal discussions, collaborating on marketplace analyses and creating new industry standards.  The supervisor will also contribute to publishing requests, cost exercises and content creation for new business pitches. 

Who You Are
  • Strategic, negotiation and innovation experience across all publishing assets (print, digital, mobile, content)
  • Steller reputation in the publishing industry that includes high integrity and partnership mindset
  • Pharma or large portfolio client experience
  • Eye to detail
  • You have a Bachelor's degree, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, and/or communications preferred.
  • You write and speak well, and have a knack for sharing complicated ideas in a simple, understandable way.
  • You are good with numbers. You can analyze a set of data, you can balance a budget, and you are proficient in math.
  • You play well with others, you can juggle multiple projects at once and even under pressure you can deliver high quality work within tight deadlines. (Maybe you even function best under pressure, which works for us.)
  • You think critically, analyze everything and look for unconventional solutions to problems. You like to speak up with new ideas, and help carry out the smart ideas of others. You know how (or are eager to learn how) to utilize media research.
  • You are proficient in media systems (ie, MBox, Nielsen, MediaTools) as well as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
